Please read: If you want to surrender your pet to an Animal Rescue for rehoming, they may ask you to pay a surrender fee for your pet to be looked after while finding it a new home. We rely on donations and surrender fees to provide veterinary care (including surgery, x-rays, ultrasounds, dental health, blood tests like heartworm etc), food and grooming for pets in foster care.

Desexing:

Your pet MUST BE DESEXED before posting for re-homing. Animal Welfare League provide a discount voucher for people receiving Centrelink Payments, alternatively you can apply PAYMENT PLAN like VetPay, ZipPay, ZipMoney or similar, ask your local vet which payment plans that have.

Can't afford to desex? Make your pet's desexing fee the Adoption Fee, e.g. $350 to desex, Adoption Fee would be $350.

Why do we ask your pet to be desexed?

To stop backyard breeding and the overcrowding and euthanising in pounds and welfare organisations that is happening all over Australia in the 1,000's. Each year, 5,000 animals are killed in just one animal welfare organisation alone. That doesn't include the council shelters.
